Steering wheel

Take a look at this section of this steering wheel.you see that separate section shaped. That seems to be loose and makes my steering wheel wobbling even if the nut is tight
So does this mean ,get a new one, or try a washer under the nut,I don't think it will work, but what do I know

I notice on the drivers door that where the bolts attach from the hinge to the door, that it cracked
I will assume you can just weld that ?

it's a little tricky to repair the door cracks, the mounting surface for the hinge has to be flat

I would replace that steering wheel.

it not where the hinge is attached, i will get a photo

there shouldn't be any reason for it to crack anywhere else. All of the stress is where the upper hinge attaches

if the outside of the door it that ripped up then i can almost guarantee that the inside part of that door - where the hinge actually attaches, is worse off.

not a big deal to fix , open up the door around the hinge and find a good welder.

I have a post on here somewhere about fixing the hinge as do some others.

hardest part was packing up the door to send to the welders.
