Hello,

(1) The network into my house (where the server is) suffered a lightning strike and the line is having to be physically replaced, which is occuring now. It will be back up on Saturday

(2) As to the where I am, I rarely post here any more for a variety of reasons

Best,

Brad

Which is a great loss to the community.

I do a lot of search and reading with little posting. It is amazing how much great technical information Brad has supplied over the years.

Website is back up, thanks for the patience.

I actually can't believe my account here still works given the persistence of disagreement I have with the forum moderator here. Let's just leave it at that; if you need something email me. We'll have a new forum up shortly to cover classic FIATs.

Not that much of a surprise since as I recall you had a lot more issues with the moderator than he had with you. I am sorry to see someone with so much to contribute can't get past the differences. You indeed have a vast knowledge and wealth of experience, sorry to see you taking your football and going home.

Its a shame the number of great contributors who have left this forum over the past few years. True its probably only a handful but their knowledge and contributions helped the masses on this site. Especially the new Spider owners. If it continues to happen the site will no longer have the " old Timer" knowledge base of folks who have serviced and loved Fiat Spiders for decades. Something to think about.

Sorry to see you leaving. I have no connection business or otherwise to Mark but have defended him based on my direct experiences with him. If that makes me a minion then so be it. Guess honest opinions and dissent from some secret orthodoxy is not allowed?

Yes, it's an orthodoxy. A secret orthodoxy.

I for one am so glad that I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

Fiats are cars. We fix 'em up some as needed. We drive 'em. We share stuff about 'em. We don't cuss no one.

If there's more to it than that I guess you need to wear vestments to know it.

I'm in shorts and a "T."

I am actually with Kirk and Don, I just want to work on my car and exchange friendly banter with other car guys. If in the process someone expresses an opinion that I disagree with then so be it, I'll not comment on their opinion as it is just that, their opinion. Maybe I poked my nose in a brouhaha that didn't concern me and in doing so fanned the flames? Going forward I will also stick to topics on fixing the car. The rest of this is just to much drama.

Enjoy your car, enjoy your life. If we can exchange mutually beneficial information that is great.
