I have spark, but the injectors aren't firing. I thought it was a spark issue, but testing since has revealed that the spark is fine.

The AFM is fine. It was just rebuilt and activates the fuel pump correctly.

As for the dual relay, I do need to learn more about it.

Also, as stated before, the resistsnce from the 13 pin to the temp sensor is way out of range!

So, after a little digging I FINALLY got to the bottom of my running issues and here is what I found:

There was no pulse at the injector, so this led me to believe that the ECU wasn't grounding the injectors. I checked the wiring at the ECU and found a couple of wires where the jackets had burned and were contacting each other. I repaired the wires, but still was not getting any pulse from the ECU. I figured I had a bad ECU, which I did.

I opened up the ECU and found a burn mark on the circuit board for pins 13 (temp. sensor) and 14 (injector). I tested the resistance between the 2 points on the circuit board and got open resistance. So, rather than spending the money to get the ECU rebuilt, I decided to try and fix it myself, figuring that if I couldn't fix it, I could still send it off. So, I got my soldering iron and re-soldered the three points on the board back together, re-installed the ECU, and BAM!, the car now runs.

This being said, I still need to drive the car for a little while to claim victory, but at least I'm heading in the right direction. Now all I need to do is re-install my rebuilt calipers and new braided lines and do a shake down.

I hope this helps. The only thing I can't figure out is what caused the wires to burn their jackets, cross each other, and burn up the ECU and AFM. Any ideas? Faulty dual relay?

Congrats! Nice repair.

With one side being ground, melting wires come from a short to a12volt circuit that has no fuse, or a hi amperage fuse greater than the ampacity of the wire that melted. Sometimes people troubleshooting inadvertently put 12 volts or ground at the wrong places. Or plug things in incorrectly. Not sure the history of your not running? Maybe caused by a previous owners actions?

That's what I'm thinking, or maybe a little furry creature as I'm in the country surrounded by fields. It was just a sudden issue, and the car had been sitting, I didn't think it would be that catastrophic! So far, the repair seems to be holding up, and it gave me the chance to fix a few other things. I just need t figure out what to put on the solder to prevent corrosion.
