Wiper Arms and Blades

Post by Nitrate »

1981. 2000. I know it's a small point but I'd like know if this model came with Black wiper arms and blades or some other combination? I was thinking stainless might be a nicer looking combo. RB

Did you use a stripper to remove the black or was it all done with the polish? That looks like it would take a lot of work. And it looks great too!

I like the look of the stainless and thinking of doing the same to my 1980, the only downside I can think of is the sun reflection???

I can only think this is the reason they were later painted matt black (along with the gauge bezels)??
Cheers David

Australian design rules say wipers must be non-reflective. Hence all in Aus are black

I did not use stripper , just polish, and yes if was a bit of work.

but i polished them up to the point that they are almost a mirror finish, from far away you would think them chrome.

used up many many rags, i also had the hard to find aluminium (?) blade holders.

it really looks great on the car.
