Convertible top flapping
1981.2000. My canvas top does not have fabric that wraps around the bows. The top fits quite tightly but flaps a lot at high speed. I was wondering if it was secured to the bows that it wouldn't flap so much. Are all tops on 124's supposed to be fastened to the bows? Thanks, RB

There should be a flap of fabric, the width of the bow, attached to the top which is to be wrapped around the bow and glued in place.

If the top is not glued to the canvas sleeve that are supposed to cover the bows it will flap. The sleeves will need to be put back so the top can be glued to them.
