Lovely day for a spring drive in Ottawa

Post by phaetn »

Another balmy day just below freezing. Roads have been clear and salt free for over a week. A quick jaunt around the block:

I forgot my hat, though...

At least you got your shades on for that snow glare. 8)
Although I was expecting a 360...and a beer in one hand.
I think I'll wait a little longer to take mine out....if she sees' salt, she'll rust!

I drove out on the beach and had lunch in the car out on the sand 25 feet from the Gulf of Mexico while watching the surfers and fishermen. It was a little warm out so I washed everything down with some nice crisp ice water.

If I had been wearing swim trunks or shorts I would have jumped in an taken a refreshing dip or rented a sailing kyak.

Rarely ever need Liquid Wrench or Pb Blast any more either. My first drive of 2016 was on 1/1/2016.

I hear ya! The only reason I went out is that I knew there was no salt in that snow. The rain over the next few days should take care of it, too. Despite my having had the car recently undersprayed, if it sees salt it will just fall apart on sight!

These are the kinds of dips we're taking in swim suits around here:
