Sorry it's been a while since I've updated. I did find pistons! I had to go to eBay UK, but I found a set of factory Mondial pistons in 84.4 with 4.2 domes from Greece. I ordered them on the Thursday before Easter and I had them by Tuesday. Here they are all shiny and installed (and not broken):

... and it's almost done! I just have a few small items left to tweak, but it should be running in the next week. Then I can get it to a dyno and get it tuned in properly.

Sorry if you've mentioned this before, but are you using stock cams?

I'll be very interested to hear how the dyno tuning goes. And I'd like to apply what you learn to my car :)

Just an update...

Car's running pretty good. I'm having some small issues with the carb, but in general it's working out great. I have about 150 miles on it. It still needs dyno'ed to get the jetting and cam timing perfect, but it runs 90% right now. I also need to get a resonator put in the exhaust, cause it has a little bit of buzz around 3500-4000 rpms, but all in all my first engine rebuild was a success!
