The car seems to be in a relatively good mechanical shape and we have put almost 200 miles on it since the purchase! The last grocery trip became an almost two hour drive through the hills that are not even remotely in the vicinity of the store.
I am sure that the idyllic portion of our relationship will be over one day. Soon I will need a lot of advices from this forum on how to fix the issues that are bound to appear and the ones that have already manifested themselves, like the fuel gauge indicating constantly full tank, which unfortunately is not true. At the same time, I am confident that whenever the Fiat decides to go bad, a fix will be found, for grew up in a country where the worst possible version of the Fiat 124’s was considered to be a good car – I am from Bulgaria and the Soviet built LADA’s were the top of the line in the 70’s for us.
For now, I cannot stop smiling when pulling with the little green Fiat next to the BMW’s and Porsches on the traffic lights. They may be much faster but the Fiat is so much cooler!
