Whole chasis leg? As in past the crossmember to the bulkhead? If so, are you for real? Who would do this??? His intention is to drive this car long before next year. If he wants to cut his car in half he can choose to do so the next time it undergoes restoration. Mine is completely closed, but I think some Spiders had holes - on the engine compartment side and they have rubber plugs in them.
