New NRG wood steering wheel

Post by So Cal Mark »

I just got a new NRG steering wheel in stock. I've been searching for a lighter wood finish, something similar to the early style wheels. This is a new NRG wheel with a satin finish on the spokes and aluminum highlights around the rim. The backside of the rim features molded hand holds. The size is 365mm, so steering effort is reduced. The horn ring is included, the wheel sells for $199

Nice steering wheel Marc.
How do you install this steering wheel? Do you need an adapter? Will it change the heights of the wheel?

Looks fantastic! Same dish as the stock wheel? As yet undecided if I want the wheel closer....

similar dish to the stock wheel. The wheel is a bolt-on for the 79 and newer hubs. 78 and earlier cars require the late model hub in order to use this wheel

I only have a 77, so can you tell me the difference between the pre -78 and 78- aft for the hub.
thanks

the 78 and earlier cars had a steering wheel with the hub built into it, the 79 and later cars had a hub that was seperate from the wheel

My guess is 7 layers laminated of Asian Mahogany, or similar.

Mark,

Are you able to sell the horn button with or without the center metal piece separately? I have a different steering wheel with a similar center arrangement, but no Fiat logo.

I have horn button emblems available, depending on the size of your center
