So first new piece gone back in....

And first question - does anyone have a picture of their fuel tank cap? (the painter took it apart so I never got to see how the spring underneath goes back....)

OMG, I had the hardest time putting that spring back properly. Even when I knew how it was supposed to go, it just never sat right, and would catch on various parts. If someone does not post a pic I will this evening.

looks great! It's the beginning of a long process in reassembly though. I have two of those bare shell to complete car projects going at the moment so I know what you're facing. Both of my projects are getting painless wiring harnesses as well as several other upgrades and bumper retrofits

Sadly I had the same issue - still no luck. Time to look at someone else's car I think - is there supposed to be something attaching the spring to the underside of the flap more securely or does it just hook on that tab at the front???

Great colour choice - #152 if I'm not mistaken?

Enjoy putting the nice clean bits back together.

Now test-installed: brake booster, steering box, steering column mount and drivers seat. Position looks pretty good.....

Small update - resomat being fitted next. I've discovered I'm going to have to move the clutch cable hole on the firewall as well. I'm lucky if that's all the stuffing up I've done.... The heater has also gone back in and control cables fitted. The movement isn't quite as free and easy as I would like though - does anyone know if replacement cables are available?

I can't believe it's been this long since I've posted! Sadly house restoration getting in the way of garage time. But another question for the brains trust:

- I'm fitting up the front indicators and discovered one of them has a broken connection right at the push-fit housing on the rear. Is there any way of extracting the bulb holder from the body? It looks like a pressed fitting...

Cheers all
