Itching to drive it!

Post by v6spider »

Waiting on brake hoses and anti squeal shims for the front brakes. And then I can test drive it! For now I'm just fitting everything together..

Rob, so close, and you've been at it so long.

Waiting to hear the results.

Good luck.

It's been over a decade! Yes I'm stoked! BTW 4uall the lights are truck marker lights that I modified for the purpose.. The license plate lights are led light bolts!

Got the passenger door hung roughly. Pain in a--! A buddy of mine is going to bring his Chrysler 300 over. It has a lambo door hinge kit on it and he needs help lining them up so we are going to help each other. :)

Well my test drive got foiled by a hole ground in the driver side brake line in rear. And to top it off I cracked my brand new windshield!

not bad for a first test drive of a car with so much work / mods in it. if no one got hurt and the car will survive, it's good in my book. a few tweaks and you're back in business.

Thanks btoran that means a lot. The brakes are working I need to get them bled better but it stops good. Steering is still needing fine tuning but on the whole mechanicals are working pretty awesome. I'm really digging the 3 link rear suspension. Big difference.. However exhaust is really needing done so it will go out the back like I intended.. Way too loud I think for me..

Steering is still needing fine tuning

I set my wheel to center and the tyrods to 13 inches on both sides.
worked good for me
when you do everything correct people arent sure youve done anything at all (futurama)

won't work in this situation because my steering setup is custom and completely different than the stock spider. Also to properly set toe one needs to measure from the rear of the tire and then the front. toe is set to 1/16" I believe..

I still have caster to deal with camber is close.

cheers!
