Sidepipes... Which I thought of before.. But that is too shelby
cobra for my tastes. If you haven't notice I tend too steer away from what seems popular.

I did think about having the exhaust tailpipe exit just in front of the rear wheels. Maybe not a side pipe along the outside of the rocker(s) but something different. My 1800 is so stupidly loud though that bringing the exit closer to my already poorly functioning ears is probably not so smart!

Here is my 81Spider CS0 again. I wanted all cleaned .

I'm digging it dito... Love the color too. I almost went with a similar red. But thought that it was too common. This winter I'm painting it hopefully ...money permitting.. Kandy Organic green by house of color it's a base coat clear coat that looks like kandy with out all the work a traditional candy job.

All - just revisiting this thread. Here's an alternate look that I'm experimenting with..



Early '60s Mustang signals, mounted into a reformed "square" hole. The signal surrounds are contoured, which works well with the Spider's lines I think. rotating the surround adjusts the angle of the signals, and you can make them look "cross eyed" too

Question, do the safety inspection people have any comments about the lack of bumpers?

I think it depends how well finished the front end is. I suspect that if you had a pair of bumper shocks hanging off the front then they'd have something to say about it - but a well finished job that looks stock, not so much.

Make it look like factory and it shouldn't be questioned unless the officer knows the FIAT spider and wants to make a point. In that case I would be under scrutiny for more than just my lack of factory bumpers. LOL
