Nylon Inserts

Post by Ptoneill »

I am in the process of putting my car back together, should have taken more pictures!! I found that the nylon inserts for the sill plate and rocker panels need replacement. I went to my local body work supply house and bought the smallest they have, still to big. Does Anybody have an idea who may supply the correct ones, maybe even a part number?
I looked at IAP and Autoricambi but did not see any listings.

Thanks!!

Did you go over to Napa? In Skagit County they have a huge huge selection of body nylon inserts and connectors..

Still looking, went to ACE and Fastenall today, no luck, they had a large selection but still to big. I will swing by NAPA on the way home from work, if I find them I will get a part number. I am suprised that none of our vendors have them.

It should be simple......... :?

How about a wall anchor trimmed to fit?
A license plate well nut trimmed down?
Epoxy putty squished into the cutout then drilled to fit the screw?

The sill plate could be siliconed into place, the screws for looks and fixed from underneath.

BTW, I haven't seen those small square retainers anywhere either.

I had the same dramas when reassembling my spider, eventually found the correct insert but the vendor would only sell them in bags of 1000, a lifetimes supply!! Consequently i have some left over.
If anyone is interested i'll post some photos and work out costs

I will take 12, just pm me with the costs...you may want to contact one of the bigger vendors and see if they will take them off your hands, none of the carry them on line or in the catalogs that I saw.

I have not ordered off of an ebay site other than the U.S. Listed site. Will my regular PayPal work? And how would you ship, ups, postal?

Thanks
