Emblem on rear passenger side question ..

I just discovered (?!?) that there are two, I believe, emblem holes on my passenger side, above rear light Fiat body. Does anyone know what it supposed to be there? It looks like a "cleaner" area than the rest of the unwashed body and I wonder if the previous owner removed whatever was there.

Note: With some research, I think that I found it. It could very well be an "1800" emblem.
I cannot figure out how to paste the pic or image ...

What year Spider?
The 75-78 Spiders had an 1800 emblem like this above the right taillight:

It is a 1977 124 Spider, orange color.
