Hood Liner Re do

Post by wizard124 »

I had the typical ratty and broken down 34 year old hood liner. Sorry, I didn't take any early pictures. I used fiberglass over the cracked and soft areas. I hit the entire liner with resin. The old cardboard/fiber material soaked it up which added overall stiffness to the liner. Then I painted it with an undercoat material. It didn't turn out as good as I hoped. The PO 's work with a pressure washer was still too evident.

I went to a fabric store and bought a yard of foam backed hood liner and then to a hardware store for a can of HD spray on adhesive. Total cost $32.
Working the liner one half at a time:

Finished product. I like the way it turned out :D
