The old one was beat up, flaking. Didn't do much for me anyways. Added some shizzle. Ordered a 2' x 4' sheet of 316 stainless from McMasterCarr and cut/bent to fit. Used the old one as a template. Should actually provide a little better protection without air flow issues. No issues so far. Will probably wind up putting some in the cowl vents as well. Just finished the engine, hood still off. Everybody looks at it when I whiz by.

New custom bumper coming as well.

I like it! If I had known where to source the material, I might have gone down that path as well.

I used paint stripper to remove the black off my stock aluminum grills. They are now rattle canned silver with clear coat. Hopefully, I will have the car back together in a few weeks and I'll post a pic...Not as much bling as yours however :!:
