Shining up the taillight housings

Post by njoconnor »

Picked up a set of used taillight housings, with really decent (no bubbles!) chrome. There's some light overspray and other stuff on them; anyone have suggestions on the best way to shine these up nicely?

Thanks.....would not have thought of that at all. Crumple the tin foil, I assume?

yep .. get it wet and the water with the foil create some chemical reaction and helps clean the chrome .... chrome is stronger than the foil so you don't have to worry about scratching it ..... it works surprisingly well ....
