Aluminum coolant recovery tank

Replaced original plastic tank which was cracking, with this polished aluminum one. $35. And used existing bracket. Takes up a lot less space.

How do they vent the top?

Very small hole in screw top. Barely visible in pic.

Looks great! After you have used it for some time let us know if any concerns when coolant expands into new recovery tank and then is drawn back into cooling system once cool I have thought of doing something very similar but did not like the top connection to the tank.

There is a tube connected to the connector at the top of the tank. The tube goes down to the bottom of the tank. Should draw right back to the radiator.

I don't think you'll find anything more compact. I know you'll be tight on space for your conversion.

Space is definitely a premium...but I have plenty of room for this catch can...plus it goes with the whole polished aluminum theme. I am doing... :mrgreen:

Here's a link to the engine compartment shots of V6spider 1.0... note in the new version the hood scoop is omitted everything is concealed under the hood...surprisingly there is more room then even I remember...lol
