went out tonight to set the headlights and see how the new LED front turns work and they are woefully inadequate. They are so small and close to the headlights, they wouldnt be noticed by the casual observer.

Guess it wouldn't be as simple as increasing the bulb wattage?
Too bad with all the work you did with the brackets.

My next option was to look at those LEDs in the headlight itself. With my last 2 LED attempts, I am a little gun shy. Seems to look good on paper but doesnt get the job done in the real world. Mark, I know you were looking at these. Have you come up with anything.

I know when I posted the pic of my solution you were concerned about the signals being seen at an angle. I mounted the existing turn signals from the bumper behind the grill. Thought anymore about this?

At this point, i am back to looking and everything. I am concerned about the depth of the bumper lights. What i liked about the little LEDs is it cleared the hood so i could bring them forward.

Why the concern with the depth of the bumper lights?

I have a 70 grill, so it is much thicker with tighter webbing than new style plastice grills. with any angle at all, it makes anything behind the grill nearly invisible. I have added goodies on each side of the radiator that restricts what i can do in those areas (cold air intake on the PS, air horns on the DS). If i move the lights infront of the radiator, i am too centered. With the arizona heat, i am trying to keep the radiator opening as clutter free as possible. What I tried today was adjusting the hood open stop to a near vertical position. this bought me a bunch of extra room in front of the grill.

Alright, here is another swing at the ball. made an adjustment in the hood swing to give me more space in front of the grill. went back to the harley bullet signals. with the new hood adjust, i had about an 1/8" clearance and a little flexibility in vertical location. Where they currently reside will be close to their final location. I have them back against the grill and they stick out too far by about a 1/2 to 5/8". I think i can cure this by grinding off the back of the bullet and sealing it up. I would like the lens to have some exposure beyond the bodywork for visibility. The brackets are very rough and will need some serious cleanup.

Location looks great I think. I agree it sticks out to far,other wise it does look awesome

sucks the others were too dim .... but that looks great... gonna also agree that i can see where you might not like how far they stick out..shaving the bullet and a half inch will make a world of difference..... congrats... been fun watching the process .... great job and i know you are ready to move on to whatever is next
