Never got comfortable with the bullet bike lights hanging off the bumper. found some LED that could fit in the grill. with the OEM flasher, they would flash rapidly and the dash indicator did not work. I found if i hooked them up parallel with incadecent bulb, all was good. tried an LED compatible electronic flasher. it worked fine except the dash indicator didnt work. So i tried hooking up several oem lights and only a light as big as the parking light would make the system work properly. So the solution was to move the bullet light behind the spoiler and wire them parallel with the LEDs. They bullet lights are not visible, but illuminate the ground when on. semi-tricky
Making those brackets was a serious PITA

Way to think out side of the box Russ. More creative than I would ever think of.
It's getting closer by the day.

That's really sharp.
Re: turn signal saga concluded
that wouldn't be legal in Calif. There is a distance that each light must be visible from. Park lights are about 100 ft, turn signals have a greater distance requirement. Indirect lighting wouldn't pass

You got me curious, Mark, so i went out to take a closer look. What I found was if my viewing angle is straight on, the brightness is as the picture shows. If i move the view angle a few degrees either direction, i hit a "bright spot". This bright dim repeats itself as I sweep the angle. the final bright spot being at about 45 degrees. This is viewing from only a few feet away. I will see if this effect is less pronounced farther away from the car.

Re: turn signal saga concluded
The beast went out for its first official road trip....15 blocks down the road to the clear bra shop. Car drove beautifully with no overheating dispite 100+temp with humidity. The car looked so out of place amongst all the new sheet metal. All the shop guys including the owner were trying to guess the age. One of the guys noticed the stoutness of my fiberglass and wanted to know where i got it. Absolutely NO fix it again tony jokes. The car and me got full on respect. They mentioned how much they liked the Rotas. The clear bra came out great. The owner did the work and said he had to take 3 passes at the airdam to get it right. Asked me if he could have it overnight so he could do the spoiler in the cool of the morning (90 degrees). drove home in the daylight with the park lights on. Wifey said the taillights were pretty dim. It did give me a chance to park the car with the blinkers on and walk to the end of the block. The new front park light were visible but not horribly bright....very much like the original lights. Turning signal was small, like a single spot, but plenty bright when viewed straight on. when i moved over like i would be in an oncoming lane, it was still visible but not very bright. I will have to work on the lens angle to see if i can improve the sweet spot. that wont be an easy task.
