Does anyone have custom mats or something DIY, different or unusual?
Im in the market and I kinda like the "velours" stuff from ebay with logos etc but I also really like the Fiat Dino style with the quilted vinyl piece where your feet rest. I think those look pretty classy. Id also like to see coco mats etc but in Spiders, not the other vehicles shown on manufacturers web sites. I couldnt find a floor mat thread on here and im sure this will come up for others so lets start one...
thanks

Re: Show us your floor mats
Thanks! Yes, I had the front and rear seats done by Marks Auto Upholstery in Foxboro last winter. They did a great job, in genuine fake authentic imitation leather. I dyed the doors, etc. veneered the dash, EZ-cooled everything, new carpets from AR, mats from cocomats.com. Good thing the cracks in the dash at the vents aren't highly visible, I am looking for a solution that will fill the cracks versus a cover or complete replacement, if anyone knows of one.

Re: Show us your floor mats
I'm experimenting with filling the cracks with "Great Stuff" and then covering the dash in viny. Using and old junk dash off of one of the former parts cars. Total investment so far is $8.00 for the vinyl. Just finished filling the cracks, now I need to cut them flush with the rest of the dash. I will probably use contact cement on the first attempt.

Re: Show us your floor mats
I also have custom mats from Cocomats.com - and I love them! They sent full-sized paper templates so that I could ensure that they'd fit properly, and they customized my mats for a few items specific to me, for free!
One of the things I like best is that these are thick & heavy enough that when I get in & out of The Spider, they don't get all scrunched up.
Even Jay Leno likes them:

Re: Show us your floor mats
I'm too embarassed to post mine - the fronts are from Lowes and the backs are from the local dollar store.
No, I am not kidding. The backs are just one thickness different than the fronts. No slippage, cut to fit and look like a set.
I wouldn't mind fitting a quilt pattern into the fronts, though.
