Hey guys, any suggestions on speaker options, I got a quote from an LA stereo place of $2K to make fiberglass versions of the speakers below in first link. I remember there was someone on the forum converting the map boxes into speaker cases. Any thoughts?
The second link is a pretty impressive system as well, like the placement of the rear speakers. Also, pricey pricey.
Ideas?
Both of these stereo set ups are pretty impressive:

Re: Replacing stereo on '84
20 years ago when I was much younger (and stupider) I cut holes in the steel and mounted 12" subs in the back. I was running a 300W amp to the subs and a 300W amp to the mids and tweeters. That was my first spider. On the one I have now, it had a cheap unit with crappy speakers. OK with me - I never turn it on. I couldn't care less about it now. At some point in the future I may install a couple of speakers and an amp to connect to my iphone. I found a cable that connects (and charges) an iphone to an amp.Pininluv wrote:Hey guys, any suggestions on speaker options, I got a quote from an LA stereo place of $2K to make fiberglass versions of the speakers below in first link.
