I made a somewhat impulsive move and bought a 1982 spider last weekend! I know nothing about cars and I've always wanted to learn so this seemed like a fun opportunity to do so. Condition seems pretty good, the underside seems a little rusty, but it looks mostly superficial. Other than that it struggles a little with cold idle and pulls a bit to the left when braking (not bad). Everything else seems to be working great!

I'm gonna have to tear things apart and take a better look this weekend. I'm hoping working through this guide:

Will fix my cold idle problems, anyone else used this? Is it very hard to follow along on a fiat instead of an alpha?

Anyways, Happy to be a forum member and I'm sure I'll be asking for help shortly as I dig myself in too deep.

great looking car. If you have not been told already, 82' is the best year for Spiders . It will most likely take you some time to sort the car out completely. These are great cars to learn on with pretty basic systems. This website is a huge help. Welcome!!
