Hello everyone. Name's Alex, 19, from Greece, engineering student. This is my recently acquired 1967 Fiat 124 Spider. Got it from a guy my father knew. At the moment it's a bit rough with a bit of stupid custom stuff (stripe etc.). Restoration project and more pictures are on the way, just as soon as I finish my exams in a few weeks.

It's always great to see early Spiders!!! I would be very curious to know how early is the chassis number.
Do you have the bumpers? The hood is from a later Spider, the one on the '67 is not supposed to have any bumps.
Please let us know of any progress, the car looks very restorable!

Thanks everyone! I do in fact, have the bumpers. Chassis number is 124AS0020295. Is it actually a '67? I've read that AS means pre-1970, but other than that I cant confirm the exact year.
Hi,
Based on the chassis number your car was made in the middle of 1969. Likely it has the 5 link rear suspension with no rear swaybar. 1966-68 Spiders had 3 links, a swaybar over the axle, and a rigid torque tube that enclosed the rear half of the driveshaft. It should also have a console between the seats, whereas a '67 would only have rubber mats there.
But it's still an AS, the first series, which is neat.
