my new ''Breeze-Beater''

Post by ga.spyder »

I finally got a roll bar installed this summer and have wanted a wind blocker. My issue was that the roll bar has an extra horizontal bar for shouder harnesses(to be installed at a later date).I called Brady and asked what he could do.No Problem!! He custom built one to my measurements. It is a perfect fit and is really well built.I have wanted one of the Brady Breeze Beaters since I saw them on several cars at FFO and on kmacs car. Thanks Brady

The seat belt holders caught my eye - did you buy or build them?

He is a very talented guy.I should mention one of the big things for my breeze-beater is that I wanted it mounted behind the roll hoop. This was because I am tall and drive with the seats far back and reclined a bit.All the others I had seen were mounted in front of the hoop.I was afraid my headrests would be against the screen material. He built it to the exact measurements I sent him, configured to mount on the back.He is now rebuilding his own to do the same thing.

Believe it or not,it cuts the air coming in tremendously. It probably isnt a big deal in Fla.,but it extends the time you get to use the car in colder areas. The worst part of driving in cool weather is the air from behind will freeeeze your ears!!! They also make the ride a little quieter. They are standard equipment on most high end(Mercedes,BMW,etc..) convertibles.

Working on a new prototype windscreen that can be built for around $25 in materials, is easy to construct installs easily, and LOOKS AWESOME!. Nearly done, I'll post photos soon

Craig, that looks great! Do you have the lower backseat in with the rollbar. It lookes like you have the top part of the seat in but possibly not the bottom. I've seen the posts where people have created a custom luggage shelf/storage space. just wondering if you have a hybrid back seat with the upper section and something different for the bottom. with the windscreen in the back seat goes from unable to be used to utterly unable to be used with the exception of pets.
Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!

I still have the seat back, but took out the bottom a couple years back.I used it as a template and cut some plywood, covered it in automotive carpet ,and installed some speakers and a little wood trim.I have yet to replace the seat back with something different.I really need to redo the bottom again,as I hastily installed the roll bar to get on track at VIR.I did a little 'creative cutting' To me,the cars look so much better w/o the useless rear seat.I(like everyone) would love to find the interior rear section out of one of the 83-85 Pininfarinas.
