Anyone ever thought of making one of these fit over dealing with rusted shock towers and cracked cross members?

Length of the A arms would be the only challenge and I arms sure you can custom order one of these to spec.

Re: Retrofit Front Suspension
I thought about cutting off the whole works at the firewall and putting a front clip on the car. It's done in the hot rod scene all the time, maybe when I retire in 25 years?

Re: Retrofit Front Suspension
WOW that is a ton of work!
I think I would make the front sheet metal one piece and have it all lift forward (like a Jag) for easy work on the mechanical etc.
For the suspension, the hotrod setup would work and give greater wheel tire combos as you could have the hubs drilled for any setup you want. Better brakes too if you have not gone bigger already.
If only we got paid to work on our cars!

Re: Retrofit Front Suspension
The closest after market would be a mustang II style of front-end. But the geometry needs to be maintained.
Out of necessity I had to modify and build new steering for my v6 powered spider. It is not an easy task. For a stock spider I would just rebuild what is there. If the body is rusted out in the front. It would be better to just replace it.... Any who my two bits...coming from someone who's been there...
Cheers!
