How will these look?

Post by ga.spyder »

I have a buddy who set up a powder coat booth.I gave him some spare parts to ''try out'',I had sanded this pleum and cam covers. He used chrome powder coat.I like it!! I am going to allow him to ''experiment'' on my roll bar next!

IMHO, bling needs some contrast to really stand out. Otherwise it becomes this huge mirror, and hard to look at. I'd do the ribs and lettering on the plenum in black

The FIAT background in red looks pretty good too, I think.

What I have done. Combination of polish and ceramic coat. On the x stuff, I grinded down all the casting marks first.

I did a double take on yours, redline. Then I realized it must be 2 different cars?I felt like those puzzles where you look at 2 pix and see if you can find the differences.Let see, radiator cap location, kickdown cable cable,etc....

I think the silver powder coating looks good. I have painted a cam covers and throttle bodies with silver Imron. It has held up well and I like the look. I would expect the powder coating to hold up even better.
You could ship me a couple cam covers for evaluation. LOL
