daughter sent a pic from tenn... look what was parked next to me ..... i like the hood badge on the grill..... be an easy switch at body and paint stage..... gonna lock that one away for later

I think all the early cars with no badge on the hood had than emblem

from what I understand, all the BS series cars had the badge there and not on the hood??

the 74 i had for a parts car had that in the grill. like a dum ass :) me : i cut that badge out, WHAT WAS I STUPID ? :roll:

Don't be too hard on yourself. Over the years I've thrown away all kinds of stuff that at the time I considered junk. Then realize at a later date they were really valuable treasures. :shock:

Is that the honeycomb grille? I really like the in-grille look, and it makes the hood really clean.

the honeycomb (expanded metal) grill was unique to the 70. the beauty of that style is that material is available at any sheetmetal supplier in aluminum, chrome, steel and different weights.

Our '71 flat hood 1608 car has this grill, we are using it on our custom '80 project.

That grill came standard on 70, and 71, I think 72 and 73 had the same not real sure though.

would that be a matching lower grill also?

If there is a matching lower grill, it would have had to be custom made. That grill was gone by the time the lower grill appeared.
