has anyone ever had the back boot made from a uphoistery shop

Yes... we are dropping another hide off this week to have turned into black leather boots. Its probably not cost effective on a one off basis.

So if you had it done and it is more money, what are your reasons for doing it? How much would you say approximately they charge to make it for you? And is that price with you buying the materials? I'm not sure what the benefit would be over having one made vs. just buying one. Well, it would be made with real leather I presume?

I have some deer hides. At least they would match the wood grain. Think I'll check into that.
