Loud horn!
Loud horn!
I just received my Griots Italian air horn and I can barely wait to get it installed. I have a feeling people won't get away with getting in my way anymore!

Love mine. Was an easy install but I had to fabricate a bracket.McFlash wrote:I just received my Griots Italian air horn and I can barely wait to get it installed. I have a feeling people won't get away with getting in my way anymore!

Re: Loud horn!
the compressor is the key. when i rebuilt my horns, i used my air compressor at 5 psi to tune the horns. My ears rang for days after that. I'm sure i turned many a brain cell to goo.

Sure. Just turn them in our out of the base. The "longer" you make the horn by turning it out (unscrewing it from the base), the lower the pitch. Make it shorter by turning it in (screwing it into the base), and the higher the pitch.

Re: Loud horn!
moving the trumpet in and out doesnt do much for pitch, but it does control the vibration of the diaphram. move in and out to find that sweet spot. I have a 3 sizes of horns from various models. vary from a 1/2 tone difference to a full tone difference.
