Thanks for the warm welcome. Yes, I'm truly garageless. Was planning to build a garage but then the furnace (only 30+ years old) went out and I ended up spending my garage shell funds on a new one. One will be coming in the future, but not real soon. Planning on a 24x36 (same footprint as my dinky house) so that I can fit at least 2 cars & have good workshop area left over. I may have to invest in one of those tent garages in the mean time.
Carl Friedman is a great guy to know. Full of 124 knowledge and experience that he's willing to share and not afraid to take on additional fun projects or ideas for them. I can't wait for him to get the 128 sorted out enough to be more reliably driven. He's having a hoot with it in the mean time.
My 78 hasn't been driven a lot due to the driveshaft center bearing problem. As typical, as soon as one problem is cured, another pops up. Started with an electrical system that had been attacked by an angry splicer who had wired in a 'system' (big amp and all) along with neon tubes on the interior sills... The ignition wiring had been hacked into to replace switch with a generic one and then almost every other power wire had been spliced and had a tap on it. After sorting out the basic wiring, other bug-a-boos started popping up...
-guage wiring (fixed),
-wiper died (not wiring but the motor gave up - replaced),
-Center Bearing knock (pending repair)
-Fuel line leak in passenger compartment - found that PO had replaced leaking steel with rubber line the full length of the cockpit, then contact-cemented the carpet and the padding down...and then the rubber leaked of course (fixed).
-carb accel pump leaking...waiting on carb kit. Should be delivered tomorrow .
Since the vinyl top is also in poor condition, the interior is poor and the body is sort of rough I'm getting tempted to do an Abarth 'Rally' version with the car. No IRS or exact clone car, just a fun to drive look alike

. Time to start hunting a reasonably priced hard top and hood
