Bumpers
Re: Bumpers
I haven't installed the older bumpers on the newer cars yet but have removed them from both early and later
models . What i can tell you is this the mounts are completely different you need to make or adapt the bumper
to fit . Someone on the forum has the early bumpers on A 79-83 Spider it looks good and i have thought of doing
this mod myself . One thing i noticed was they sit a little high from what i could tell maybe the mounting point
made the bumper rest at a different height not sure what was going on but the car looks really good .

Re: Bumpers
Hi I have just done my fiat. The rear was easy I drilled the gas shock and compressed them and the welded a bead around them then I made a bracket piece to fit the old style bumpers and marked where the side mounting holes were for the bumper and drilled the holes in the body. As for the front I made custom aluminum brackets that mounted to the bumper shock holes and then came out the bumper hole in the body on a downward angle to lower the bumper height. I also made brackets to hold the existing parking signal lights.
