Currently the stock snorkel is installed. I would think straighter duct work would be force more air into the area than the S-shaped hose.
What are your thoughts?

I have a 1979 spider that came stock with a cold air port near the driver's side headlight. What have others done to get cold air from that port to the carburetor?

I've got mine there still too. I think it's probably a good thing. Not sure if there could be a better design for it. I don't really want to go to the extent of some kind of cover going from there and enclosing the air cleaner, but perhaps there's something?
