Some of my Spider mods

Post by Turbofiat124 »

Here are some of my mods:

Custom air conditioning system:

Note: Ignore the Euro number plate. It caused the engine to overheat and has been removed. It must act as an air dam forcing air away from the radiator.

87 CRX seats w/made to fit seat covers and my "Pepsi can" holders:

Turbo rebuild with pics:

Note: The current T3 came from a Volvo 240. The previous T3 started leaking oil into the compressor housing. I was not running a blow off valve and believe the constant pressure spikes loosened the nut on the compressor wheel.

Bosch wiper motor retrofit:

I like the look of some of the additional lights on the front, but don't they interfere with the hood opening? I will have my spider in 10 days and I am looking to adding lights to the front as a mod. I just don't know the best setup.

Thanks for the post!

Nice to see all the turbo pics in one album.

Your site was a major influence in deciding to pursue a turbo spider project (which i hope to complete this winter).

Cheers,

Jordan

No they just barely clear the hood when open. Like by 1".
