I'd like to see pics of colored LED dashes.

Anyone have colored LEDs installed in the dash. I worked at a company where one of our trucks had the red dash lights. It was an old military vehicle. Always thought that was easy on the eyes at night. Anyone daring enough to do something like that? Show us some pics.

No pics but I am considering the same thing as our 81 124 currently has no dash illumination. i would love to see how this looks and if anyone ha done it get some ideas on how to make it happen. I just got the car and have it running, with almost all the electronics working, but so far the dash and rear right turn signal dont work. I need to dog out my multimeteer nd do some testing

Good luck with your wires. I've been waiting a while to see some pics. I can't even find any on google. I've been trying to make sure I take pictures of everything I do and posting them on my blog. I've noticed that I'm starting to get a lot of hits through google because of it.

Just order some from superbrightled and install them. They have the lowest prices and I've heard good things about them. I don't think your dimmer will work with them though.

I have red LED in almost all my gauges. I still have to replace the clock and water temp. They are close to the same brightness as the original bulbs. Maybe a bit dimmer.

It looks like you can't see the bottom of the gauges? Is it better in person?

HA HA! That's awesome! Thanks for posting the pict! They do look a little dim, but I've ridden in vehicles with red lights and remember them seeming dim, but quite readable. I assume its the same here.

They are better lit in person, but there is a noticeable difference in the brightness top to bottom. They are bright enough for me so I'm just going to swap the other two gauges when time/money permits.
