Restoration costs have gotten very high, especially on Euro cars as we are dealing with the weak dollar exchange for parts. Plus labor in major cities is often over $100 hour now. A 100 hours gets eaten up in a hurry on a real restoration!
Problem with 124 values is most people can't tell the difference between a true restored car and a worn out one that needs a ton of work, but has shiny paint and new seat covers.
