Well I learned to drive on my dad's 1976 132 when I was 14, and now almost 2 decades later, I've paid off my 2007 GTI and just picked up Giancarlo! I've always liked that name, ever since I heard of Giancarlo Fisichella (former F1 driver).
Anyway, it's a '79 2000 Spider in great shape. Over $3k was spent over the past year on tuning up the engine, including the entire top end, coolant flush, timing belt, spark plugs, and more. The previous owner replaced the entire front dash and added the 15" aftermarket wheels (I was told by a member of another forum that they're Voxx mg3's). It was also painted probably within the past 5 years to a darker shade of blue (original color was a baby blue). Main thing I need to fix is the odometer because I want to start keeping track of oil changes and other maintenance items. Oh...and I like being able to tell how fast I'm going...
