Fiberglass Dash

Post by So Cal Mark »

I now have our fiberglass replacement dashes! This is not a cap, but a complete replacement dash. The surface has a grain finish to simulate vinyl. The pics show the dash with a wood kit. The wood kit is not included, but merely in the pics to show how well the fit is. This mold was made from a brand new dash, so the dimensions are perfect. This will cure the warpage, splitting problems of the original dashes. The surface can be painted or left in the black gel coat, or covered in vinyl.

dash came out nice. how about some pix of the back side and bolt points. I made a fiberglass targa top many years ago. the interior still looks like new and looks and feels like vinyl. the exterior has taken a beating from sun and weather exposure. worthwhile to keep the dash covered from sun when stored. a good uv protection is worth doing from the get-go.

When I see the dash covers they have two listed, something to do with the difference at the steering column section. Does this dash fit all years?

the dash will fit all years, but it uses the wood with the straight bottom. If you're using a cap, there are two different caps since the dashes were different. The dashes will interchange though, it just requires the proper cluster wood. This isn't a cap, it's a replacement dash

This Dash is a great ideal something that will last forever or almost that long and it looks factory .

Mark, do you still sell these consoles? I do not see them listed on your site, just the custom "Ferrari GT" one. Did not look like that one would fit with the style of dash in my 1984:
