Noise from the back of car

Hey gang.I have a small issue with my 82 I am getting a popping sound from the pass. rear of the car.Hard to describe,but kinda like when you run over a rock with the edge of a tire.I seem to get it when the suspension loads and unloads on hard cornering,or even when the car is loaded/unloaded on uneven ground.I have tightened everything underneath,that I can.This includes panhard,trailing arms,shocks.I have checked the spring buckets also.Everything was tight. All the rubber bushings appear to be fine.My exhaust is a bit of a mess,but I dont think the pipe hitting is the noise I am hearing.It doesnt do it all the time,fairly intermittent.I do not believe it is driveshaft related either.Any thoughts?? I have pulled ,prodded,yanked,and compressed everything,but I cant make it do it on jackstands or on the ground.

Sounds like you may have a suspension bushing that is binding.

Thanks Kev.I looked all the bushings over and they appeared in good shape.That was my first thought,too and I figured I would find one damaged.The arms were replace about a year ago,with new bushings.

Sounds like what mine does too, especially when making a right turn up a sloping driveway. Mark didn't find anything wrong when I had it at his shop last year, I did not find anything when I swapped the entire rear end last year either (and there was no change after the swap either.) Took it to a local mechanic who Razooli knows, he says it is the body flexing. Said he has seen many spiders do this and that the rest of the car will fall apart before it causes any other problem.

I'd still like to stop it but you have to find the area causing it first.
