OK, I am starting an new thread to discuss intake manifolds for fuel injected engines.
Clark,
How far upstream did you open up the stock manifold beyond the interface with the head? I don't have an inside micometer so was unable to measure much beyound face. The runner takes a bend rather quickly, and I don't know how far the face runner diameter extends.
Also could you post your results to this thread so we can keep things together?
Thanks!

Re: Fuel Injection Manifolds
Hi FiatMac,
I have played around with this a little.
Pictures and a bit of a story here;
http://www.turbo124.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=7405
It is the boring story of my very long turbo spider build.
Have a look and let me know if you have any specific questions.
I still have the extra intake that is mentioned in the thread.
Cheers,
Jordan

Re: Fuel Injection Manifolds
Thanks for the comparison drawing and info on purchase. If I go this route I need to decide on bare manifold vs. with TB and injectors. What is the flow rate on the Croma injectors?

Since I am in the US, my spider is LHD. Looks like the Croma manifold might interfere with the Brake booster and/or the master cylinder??? I have been toying with a design modification to install dual reverse mount master cylinders under the scuttle/dash using Tilton or Willwood master cylinders and cross bar for brake bias. That would clear up some space under the hood.

Re: Fuel Injection Manifolds
I see that Kbe00 already answered my question about the Croma interference with the brake booster in the Megasquirt thread.

If you decide to go the dual master route - I would like to learn along with you. I had toyed with this idea too, but not sure if the extra effort is worth it on a street car. All my race cars of course had dual masters with a bias bar but that was almost a requirement at that level.
The biggest issue I see is room under the dash for the masters.
Anyway - I will follow along and if I can help in any way, let me know. My car is being torned down completely for a rebuild so it won't be until the winter when I reassemble it anyway. I have room now that the dash is completely out of the car - so if you need measurements, etc. let me know.

Re: Fuel Injection Manifolds
Kbee00,
Thanks for the offer. I have a parts car that is mostly disassembled that I will used to test fit things. I am looking at modifying the existing brake/clutch pedal assembly to mount the master cylinders. Looks doable right now but I have not started a prototype. My biggest concern is access for maintenance.

Re: Fuel Injection Manifolds
off thread topic: my scorpion build has dual master cylinders, when i was using fiat brakes i used a 13/16 ft and a 3/4 rear m/c, now im using mitsubishi 3000gt brakes.kbee00 wrote:
