Old School Radio - Auxiliary for IPod Wanted
Old School Radio - Auxiliary for IPod Wanted
I recently purchased an old Fiat radio which I
am planning to install in order to have the car as
original as possible.
Can I install an auxiliary for the iPod and add some
additional power to make better sound.
Thanks

There several sources that supply the hot rod type situation. There are systems that fit in with the stock unit. Google "hidden auto audio" , "hidden audio auto" , etc , you'll find more sources than you could ever need.

2 channel, some power and bass.
Nothing too fancy, decent sound independent from the original radio.
Brand-no preference, your best recommendation will be fine.
It is a convertible, agreed.

if you place 2 more speakers in the rear on the side panels the sound will improve a great deal
while driving !
$59.00 for a New Crunch Amp about the best deal i know of, my suppliers also sale some
swap meet crap but i wouldnt waste my time on no name brands .

Eric
If you want a very simple solution ? run a 3.5 mm Head phone Jack to RCAs from your IPod to an Amp
and skip the radio altogether .

I'm not a fan of using FM transmitters for ipods. You lose a lot of sound quality through the air. Ahard wire is always superior. Especially a USB connection, since the audio files are compressed when sent through 3.5mm jacks

IPod Music is Compressed in any form or cable ! unless you down load the song from the Apple Store (ONLY) and
use the uncompressed format plus your willing to give it a lot my storage space on the HD !
