Turbocharged 2.0 1/4 time slips

Post by boxdogracing »

I have had my turbo setup running well for some time, and I finally decided to get some "real" #s.
83 2l liquid2air inter-cooled turbo 5spd w/auto rear.
best of 4 Slip reads exactly:
60'....... 2.109
330...... 6.244
1/8...... 9.675
MPH.....72.26
1000....12.631
1/4.....15.142
MPH....90.54

Pretty happy with those #s... But not done
Anyone know what a stock one runs?

Here's some 6 year-old figures for SPYDUH (2-litre Euro spec, twin DCOE Webers). Never intended to run it at the drags, and never have again - but our local car club went for a social drive to watch the racing and the track owners persuaded us  to give the cars a run down the strip - they even lent us helmets :!: . I was pleased and somewhat surprised at the result. SPYDUH was in the left lane, 1/4 ET is 16.9 and speed is 79.2 mph.

Great times especially with high rear end ratio. What are the specs on engine?
Thanks

I'am running a bone stock 2.0 engine, w/104K miles. I did tear it down prior to the turbo build, all internals checked O.K. minor wear/no damage. So new quality gaskets and seals done.

This is the link to pics of the build. I just added a short running video.

noticed you had to cut a hole in the cross-member to run piping. That cant have been good for strength?

nevermind... optical illusion
