Custom Roll Bar, double hump.

Post by azygoustoyou »

I want to see how many people would be interested in a roll bar that looks like this. It will mount the same way as the Autopower roll bar does.
Prices to come later. These will be custom made from another supplier, not by me. These could be made of Stainless or steel. More to come later. :P
Please don't Pm on this. Just leave a post to say you might be interested.

I would absolutely be interested.
Of course it would need to be in a competitive price range. (yes, it's better and cooler, so I would pay more... but HOW MUCH MORE? )

Have you mocked one up to check the view to the rear? I'm 5'10", and the Autopower bars render the inside mirror useless.

I'm 5'9", and I'd say "Almost Useless".
However: It's a concession I'm willing to make if it's the difference between it fuitting under the soft-top or not.

Doesn't the rear view mirror hit the bar in the center of the top. As you see in the pic, this one doesn't have the bar there which should allow a view from the rear view mirror. This one is the same height as the Autopower which will allow the top to open and close.

Yes, I can see that there should be a clear view directly to the rear. I'm questioning the "field of view"

That makes sense to me, adn I'd agree. As I say: DEFINITELY interested.

I would think there would still be some interference hitting the bars to the sides of the middle. No way around that. I don't know how much would be visible. I haven't even driven my car in two years. Thinking about it, what is the distance between the seats. I would think these bars are to the sides of the seat. I'll have to talk to Bob to get some of these answers.
