Hi, Im in the process of purchacing a 1980 Fiat 2K Spider. The odometer on it says about 36K, but judging on the price, and interior condition (rip in seat and crack on dash), I think the seller needs to put a 1in front of the 36. Anyhoo, took it out for a test drive, and fired right up and handled great. When I receive it, I plan on having the timing belt changed, change out the water pump, and add new brakes. I may also have the seals changed out also. The seller didnt have much history to share about the car, so I'm trying to be proactive. Am I missing anything that may need to looked at? Also anyone on here from the St Louis area?

At least take a visual on the rubber donut at the driveshaft to make sure it's not cracked or throwing chunks. And....welcome to the forum!

Welcome I am from Collinsville. I have an 80 2000 Spider and a 82 2000 Spider. You are welcome to bring it up to my shop and I will take a look at it. PM or E-mail me if interested.
There is a 79 spider in Edwardsville and a 74 in Lebonan.

Great to see another Spider owner in the area. I'm on the other side of St. Louis in Ballwin. We will have to do a road trip!
