1979 spider, 10-1 compression. I just ordered a 32/36 dfev carb. I have a holly blue electric fuel pump laying around and a nice adjustable fuel pressure regulator with gauge. Do fiats run an in-tank, or in line fuel pump? Would i benefit from running the holly? If i used the adjustable fuel pressure regulator what would be an adequate fuel pressure for a setup like mine?
Thanks for the info.

Re: 79 Spider fuel questions
The electric fuel pumps are mounted in line. The spiders never had a pump in the tank.
I believe the carbs work with pressures around 2.5-3.5 psi.
If you are running a mechanical pump at the moment,it has the benifit of not pumping fuel if one is in an accident and the engine is not running. I'm sure the electrics can be wired to offer the same safety feature as well though.
