New member, old Fiat family

Hi, I just recently joined/registered. I am in the process ( 4 years now) of restoring my mom's 1981 spider 2000, an original owner California car now in Boston area. I am doing a total restoration and have about $5000 into total motor rebuild plus some interior and suspension restoration work. Hope to get bad bondo job removed and front fender done properly, painted and driving this summer. My father-in-law is Italian and was a fiat dealer, so more family connection beside my mom having an 850 and a couple 124's before this one (which I beat the snot out of them all as a kid!!).

Great site, lots of good info !!

Welcome aboard! There are a few of us in the Boston area. I am in Plymouth, and regularly will attend the cruise nights at Bourne, Halifax, Foxboro and Millis. Plus the Herb Chambers and Larz Cars and Coffee events, and the annual Tutto at the Larz in August are good ones too.

Where are you located?

Welcome. I think I ran into your sister maybe in Medway. She spotted my Spider at a filling station and said her father was a Fiat dealer. Also said she learned to shift on a Spider. You came to the right place, here. Lots of helpful folks and folks who need help.

Add Raynham (The old dog track) on alternate Thursdays to the good Cruise Night list!
