Bang! Zing!

Postby Nanonevol » Fri Jun 23, 2017 3:32 pm

Driving along at 40 mph or so and suddenly hear a bang or a pop and a zing as something shoots off into the woods. Any guesses?

Did someone take a pop at you? Check all the suspension items. Wheel bolts, spring for CatConv. Assuming engine and car still drive well, so it is not something critical to the engine running. No sudden shaking? May have just driven over something?

Thanks, that's a thought - maybe I just drove over something.

This happened to me once, make sure your left rear wheel is still attached to the car.

Hate that when your own tire passes you on the highway. Just remembering that when I first got the car and was test driving there were a couple of odd loud clunks while turning, etc. Just figured the car had stiff joints from sleeping several years.
