Emergency brake handle

Postby brackie1 » Mon Jun 26, 2017 7:13 pm

I am wanting to make a nice custom brake handle. Has anyone ever take the stock handle off. I would like to know what to expect before I do it.

I've taken mine off, and it wasn't easy.

I don't recall if I heated it up with a hair drier or just kept twisting until it came off, either way it was a real chore.

I guess my question is, what inside it. Is the button going to come flying out and was it hard to put back together.

The black plastic handle is just a tube that slides over the metal. The button doesn't come off when you remove the black plastic hand grip.
