I would like to see pics of what others are doing with regard to the brackets that hold your windscreen in place.

Here are a few photos of the brackets I made to install the Miata windscreen on my Spider

The seat back just touches the screen with the seat as far back as it will go. I used 1/8 inch x 1 inch cold roll purchased at Home Depot. Some use a thicker metal for the brackets. the 1/8 seems strong enough to me and is easier to work with. Thicker requires replacing the convertible top bolt used to mount the bracket. It is a special bolt with the shank larger diameter than the threaded portion. My car did not have original bolts installed but used the think bracket anyway.

Thanks for the replys I will have study the pics, but it looks like the brackets are mounted on the inside of the pocket that hides the back windows when they are down and comes up and under the convertible top brackets and then attached to the tops brackets. Is that correct?

There is no one way of doing them. A number of folks have made their own custom design.

Correct the bottom bolt is the one mounted behind the window pocket. The top bolt fastens the Miata wind screen to the bracket. The picture is confusing in that it looks like its attached to the top hinge point but it is directly behind it .
